11 Week Ultrasound

Today we got our second peek at our little baby. Karin and I are both officially 50/50 as to whether it is a boy or a girl. We'll find out soon enough, about 8 more weeks until the coming out party. Our little one has a healthy ticker measuring 172bpm and is now nearly 5.75cm long. Our due date is 'officially' July 4, 2008, but we will induce between the 20th and 28th of June. That's all for now....hopefully, Mom will make an appearance soon on this blog.

Our 1st Ultrasound

Today we had our first ultrasound. Our little baby is growing nicely and is right on track. Karin is 8 weeks and 3 days, just as the measurements indicate. We were able to hear our little one's heartbeat, a rapid 174 bpm. Our next ultrasound is scheduled for Monday, December 17th. We're so excited to bring another child into the family. Officially, Karin's due date is July 4th; however, we'll be inducing sometime during week 38, most likely the Week of June 23rd.

Thanksgiving 2007

I can certainly say that Thanksgiving 2007 was a success. In what is becoming a tradition, the McGee's - Brian, Kirstin, Sam, Sarah, and Emily, joined us for the festivities. We were also pleased to have Brian, Kelly, Erin and Brandon Bonehill over. The girls worked all day Wednesday preparing the delicious food and Brian Bonehill brought over his fryer as we had our first Green Deep Fried Turkey. The weather certainly got us all in the mood as it was a very wet holiday weekend, with temperatures in the 30's and 40's and even a few flurries in the air. Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Daddy's Little Packer Backer

My little Packer backer wore her Brett Favre jersey on Thanksgiving as she rooted on her Packers to a victory against the Lions. Daddy will be sure she's wearing it again this Thusrday, November 29 (also Andy's 30th B-Day) as the Pack takes on the Dallas Cowboys in a battle of 10-1 teams.

It's a Boy!!!???

It's a boy. So says the Chinese Birth Calendar that claims to be used to predict the sex of your unborn child. It has been said to be 99% accurate. But don't get your hopes up if you're wanting an Andy Jr. We were the 1% on our first baby, as it predicted a Marbello not a Marbella

Ooooh That Smell!!!

Not just a Lynyrd Skynard song anymore. It's crazy that certain smells suddenly repulse a pregnant woman at about week 5.

Baby #1 - Marbella
* The sight and smell of raw meat cooking. The down was that I couldn't cook anything, the up was I brought home Chili's or On The Border every night.
* Any cologne. The down was a few bottles sitting idle for a year, the up some wonderful new lotion!

Baby #2
* The smell of Marbella's diaper. This is a lose/lose situation for me as now I find myself as Chief Poopy Diaper guy. I'm now trying to find a way to potty train a 13 month old.

Bring on the Needles

It's amazing what you'll do to yourself for your children. For the second straight pregnancy, Karin is administering Lovonox shots once a day.

Many of you might recall hearing that for our next pregnancy we would not try the shots. However, once you see that pregnancy test and you know the outcome after 9 months of shots, it suddenly makes it somewhat tolerable. At least that's easy for me to say.

Only 180, 179, 178 shots remaining, but who's counting.

It's a ... Positive Pregnancy Test

Yes, it's true. We're pregnant! Wednesday morning, October, 24, Karin went to the bathroom and took a pregnancy test around 500am. Considering the early time of the morning, Karin returned to bed without waiting to view the results. About 615 I went to the bathroom and was surprised to see the positive pregnancy test! Wow, how could she not wake me to tell me the news? Realizing that she must not have waited to see the results, I returned to bed and said that Marbella is going to have a little brother or sister. We are very excited about this baby. It will be interesting to see how the next 9 months go. Come back often for updates.

Look at these two beautiful women. Marbella's smile and infectious laugh brings a warmth to everyday life. Karin is a caring and generous soul! I am truly blessed to have them in my life.

Walt Disney World

Well we finally did it. We packed up the family and flew to Orlando for a week at Walt Disney World. It was the first trip to the Magic Kingdom for Karin and Marbella. It was amazing to see Marbella enjoy her first rides on Small World, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan as well as overcome her fear of stuffed animals.
